Call to Write Against Erasure

Over the past few days, imperial forces have, once again, openly allied themselves with the expansionist genocidal entity in their ongoing aggression on Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran. We are well aware that the zionist politics of occupation and land grabbing historically converge with the economic interests of global imperialism. But their latest attacks, which set the region ablaze, come at a moment of unprecedented complicity from our own states.

We are accepting texts and abstracts throughout the month of March, which you can email to submit@kohljournal.press(link sends e-mail). Please note that we are happy to accept shorter pieces, personal essays, as well as voice-recorded commentaries that we can help you turn into written text. We encourage submissions in Arabic, and also accept texts in English.

Tulips is a student-run journal published annually in association with the Gender Studies Student Collective and the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies at Western University. This journal showcases the outstanding and original academic and creative works of undergraduate students on the topics of gender, sexuality, women's studies, feminism, and related sub-disciplines. We hope that in reading the works published in Tulips, you are inspired to learn more about the issues discussed and are encouraged to practice feminism in your daily lives!
